Malibu Beach Chaloklum Koh Phangan Thailand

Chaloklam’s sheltered bay makes it an ideal place on Koh Phangan for water sports, with snorkeling, kite surfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, jet skiing and many other activities all available on a seasonal basis. Boats can be easily rented for day trips, and long tail taxi boats ply the Koh Phangan North Coast for Bottle Beach and Thong Nai Pan regularly. At over 3 km long the bay is home to a number of bungalows, resorts, beaches, restaurants and activities to keep you occupied.

Due to its geographic location and government pier, Chaloklum is the ideal departure point on Koh Phangan for popular dive sites like the Chumpon Pinnacle and Sail rock, two of the most popular dive sites in the Gulf. Koh Tao is known almost exclusively for diving, but Chaloklum and Koh Phangan are actually closer to to a number of the major dive sites it services. For this reason, Chaloklum village hosts a number of dive school and numerous dive boats depart the village daily so divers of all abilities are spoiled for choice.

In Chaloklum Wakeboarding, snorkeling, jetskiing, elephant trekking, off-road driving and motorcycling, mountain biking or just exploring the local village, temples and jungle are sure to keep you occupied whatever the weather.

Chaloklum Bay is also very close to some of the best beaches Koh Phangan has to offer – Mae Haad, Haad Salad, Malibu Beach and Haad Khom are all just minutes drive away. Haad Yao and Haad Chao Prao are just a little further up the road.
